  • In The Beginning...
    I spent 16 years in the technology sector building enterprise systems around businesses' sales and operations processes, leaving as an Executive of Business Development. While I did enjoy the work and had a talent for it, there was something missing. I wanted more room for growth and personal development, and I wanted to work in an environment where I could make real connections with people.
  • And Then...
    I wanted to get out of the corporate world and into direct sales, so I got my real estate license and started the Kim Barber Group. Although I was just getting to know the industry, I ended up doing quite well. I was closing several hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales, and by year 3, I was bringing more agents onto my team.
  • My Breakthrough…
    My team had grown, and we were generating about $600k per year in sales, but I just couldn’t push through to that next level. I had cycled through different CRM systems like I was running on a hamster wheel, all the while spending tons of time focusing on bringing in new leads and dealing with agent turnover. I was spending so much time training new agents and chasing leads that there wasn’t any time to follow up and nurture those leads to close sales. I was working 60+ hours per week, and agents on my team felt like they were chasing their tails. I saw that I needed a more reliable system to stay top of mind for those leads that were ultimately turning to other real estate agents to close their sales.

  • But Then...
    My health wasn’t on my side. I had to take a step back and bring in more team members to work all the leads I’d accumulated. It wasn’t easy relying on others, especially because I could see that money was being left on the table. We had no shortage of leads, but there was a bottleneck with the follow-up—we didn’t have clear notes to keep track of all these leads, and when agents were finally reaching out, they didn’t know what to say. Plus, CRM's are complicated. So, I tapped into my background and created a repeatable, scalable, easy to follow system that takes the guesswork out of using a CRM and maximizes lead conversion.
  • Becoming a bossOwner...
    I had finally cracked the code for what was missing in my process, and I was able to carry my team to become national top performers. My team earned the Centurion Team Award in 2016, and since joining the Dulles Association of Realtors in 2017, we have been recognized as a Top 20 Producing Team each year. I am also an ICON Agent with eXp Realty, a recognition reserved for top producing agents. Now I can easily bring new agents in and guide them through every step without hands-on training, so I have time to focus on sharing my Million Dollar Lead Framework with others in the industry who are ready to step up to that next level.
